My idea of creativity and art production was not the operation from points to lines but the imagination of a “landscape.” In the landscape, the tracking of daily movement and the combing of memories and textures of persons proceeded to complete the work.
NIHONNGA, a complicated yet open medium language structure, had to face the change of meaning of the diachronic shift after text generated and the synchronization of creativity.To me, the training and creating of NIHONNGA were the actions of learning and expressing the terroir by speculating of “sketch” and ceremonial practices corresponding with the media such as minerals, metal foils, animal glue, and white shell powder.
