Born in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1991, Haydonna studied art at Yewon School in Seoul before moving to New York, where she graduated from the School of Visual Arts (SVA). After returning to Korea, she began her career as a Creative Director and Graphic Designer at TIN Studio and officially debuted as an artist under the name Haydonna.
 
Initially exploring various artistic styles, she developed her signature style in 2020, characterized by bold black lines and vibrant color blocks. The main inspiration for her work comes from her two furry companions, aged 5 and 7, whose playful and tender moments are beautifully captured in her art.
Her pieces, often described as whimsical yet emotionally engaging, portray the joy and spontaneity of everyday life with her pets. The simplicity of her drawings captures lively movements, inviting the audience to step into these heartwarming moments. The dynamic lines and bold colors in her works hold open-ended narratives, leaving space for viewers to imagine and extend the story themselves.
